99 Summer Street

The 99 Summer Street building is a twenty story, 270,000 square foot, office building located in Boston's financial district. The main sources of heating and cooling, as well as energy consumption, are the 272 water source heat pumps. Each building heat pump is retrofitted with an Alerton DDC controller SA-TUX and wall mounted digital thermostat Microset. The main water loop including cooling tower and the boiler room was put under control. The project was completed successfully almost six years ago. The new Alerton BMS system has saved approximately $159,000 annually. The BMS system was equipped with fully automated tenants billing system. The software allowed to control and bill the tenants for the after hours energy usage.
